Turning 30......

So this year, I am turning 30 (in 4 days to be exact!). I am excited because that means that I am officially an adult! Yeah, I know - when you turn 18, you are legally able to do random stuff and they say that when you turn 21, that you are an adult - GIMME A BREAK, you don't know half of what you should know until you are 30. And that's where I am. I am learning half of what I need to know and in another 30 yrs, I guess I will know it all! ha!
Although I am excited about turning 30, my dad is turning 50(!) and so I am a little saddy because we are making a big deal out of dad's bday and not mine. I shouldn't be selfish, BUT it is a big deal to turn 30 if I do say so myself. I know that my hubby has probably got something up his sleeve for me, so while I am a little saddy, I know that I will have a great time!
So since I told you about dad's 50th, let me give you the scoop! So my sister and I

are throwing this guya GREAT party!! With a 4 course sit down dinner, dancing, photo booth, the whole nine!! It's gonna be FABULOUS!! He has NO idea and he thinks we are doing a back yard bbq type party... I can't wait to surprise his socks off!!!

Stay tuned for the pics to come. The party is in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!

Hasta!

2010!!!!

HELLO OUT THERE!!!

I am starting out the year (in which I turn 30) with a new found hope that I will write in the blog atleast 3 times a week. I am excited for all the fun stuff to happen this year as well as I am just ready for 2010! 2009 was tough and a blessing all wrapped into one!

for 2010 I have a few goals that I want to accomplish - YUP I called them goals! Here is my list:

1) To devote more time to my Christian walk by spending atleast 10 mins a day (if more, then that's a bonus) of quiet time with the Lord, doing a daily devotional and really get to know the Lord.

2) Be a better wife - by praying for my husband, cooking more, keeping a beautiful house, spending more time with him and doing things that he likes to do (maybe I will learn MORE about football???)

3) Be atleast 50% debt free. The hubs and I are working diligently on becoming debt free, understanding our money and using it to be a blessing for others. Only when we are truly blessed (by not having to pay for debt) can we bless others.

4) Exercise atleast 2 days a week - I KNOW that you should work out atleast 3 times a week, but I am starting out slow and if I get in more than 2 -BONUS!

5) Plan and USE a menu everyweek!

6) Clean and organize the garage by March 1 - we already bought the shelving!! check!

7) Have atleast 2 garage sales (one in the spring and one in the fall)

and I think that's it for now. I know that I will add subgoals to these throughout the year, but I am really eager to get the ball rolling and for 2010 (the year I turn 30) to be AWESOME!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
HASTA!
