So this past weekend we really kicked it up a notch! We had an outreach where we passed out cold bottles of water through out a neighborhood where you could tell people needed it. I was also able to knock out some projects that had been waiting for my TLC. I started and ALMOST finished the nightstand that I bought for $10 at a thriftstore. I started and almost finished the candelier that I am making to hang above the bathtub. I started and finished (but it needs to be hung) redoing the $7 garage sale kitchen light fixture. Anyway... enough talking - here are the pics.

After spending those hours in the sun, reaching out to those in need of fresh cold water - I just couldn't sit back. I had too much energy and decided that I wanted to get to those projects I listed above. Here is one - remember this beauty that I got for $10?? Well, I knew it was perfect for the guest bedroom and could serve as a bedside table. PERFECT I tell you! So here it is before. (you can't tell, but the top drawer was falling apart and I had to secure it back together.)

TADA!!!!! The hubby and I had gone to Home Depot to get some stuff for the candelier and I ended up picking up a can o paint from the oops pile and it was only $5 - when I bought the paint I didn't know what I would use it for, though I knew I couldn't pass it up. When I started working on this piece (sanding) I remembered that I had the can and I went to town! It looks kind of yellowish, but its more creaminess - it's actually quite awesome that it matched the bed frame so well!! I scored!!

Another project that I am working on is the candelier that I want to hang above the master tub (garden tub). I got the chandelier for free at a thriftstore and was more than happy to see what I could use it for. The first thing I did was clean it (with a damp cloth) and let it dry before working on it. Once it's ready for me, I started by taking out all of the electrical components (I won't need them as it's going to become a candelier). So here are the pictures of what I did:

I am really proud of myself for getting a good number of projects done!! Feels good!!! :)
Hasta!
Adri.
