Changing up some house stuff.

In the past couple of weeks I have gotten an itch to change stuff up in our house. One of the things I have been out on the search for was a round pedestal table. I found a few in stores and such but they were WAY out of my budget and really wouldn't work out :(

So I started doing searches on Craiglist Houston and would come across a few but never committed to any... that is until I saw one that happened to be 1) in my price range 2) on my side of town and 3) after communicating with the seller, I found out they would deliver it since we were sooo close!
DONE! I am sold!!! So we got it last week and it's in the garage because:
a) we still have a small table in the area that we want to put it in
b) the new table only came with 3 chairs AND they are not pretty
c) I didn't quite look at the 'detail' of the table until we got it home, so I am going to do a few things to it before we move it into it's new home.
Here is what the kitchen nook looks like right now:

I have it decorated with CAFE style signs and such. I will do a better "tour" of the nook once I move in the new furniture.
Here is the "new" furniture before I have done any updating to it.

This is our 'new' table! YAY!!!! I am going to do something to it or may just leave it alone.. haven't decided yet??! The chair that came with it is the one on the left. The ones on the right, I will tell you about a little later on.

Here is a better picture of the chair (pretty please excuse the mess all around the chair... it's usually not like that in the garage... interesting, I must say).

Other stuff that needs changing....
Our kitchen sink! We have your standard builder basic, not shallow enough sink in the kitchen and I have been really wanting to change it out - but the moola wasnt there. In comes Habitat Restore!
We rolled up and there were tons of house reno type stuff - from light fixtures, to plumbing, to doors, to blinds, to bathtubs... all used, and most in GREAT condition. I really wasn't looking for anything, but when I saw this beauty, I knew I had to have it. I asked how much and they said $80 (with the faucet). I went back and forth with the idea and told them I needed to double check with the hubs. So I picked him up and we went to lunch. I told him that if after lunch we should go back and if it was there, it was meant to be. Well it WAS! YAY!!!!
So here she is:
I can't wait to share the befores and afters of this change out! :)
More to come on the changes in our house... they include these:

and these also... (the nightstands and shutters)

So stay tuned!
Hasta!
Adri.
