Moosekey goes to prom!

Remember this post from a few weeks ago? Well the time came for Moosekey to go to prom with his girlfriend who we will call Courtey91. (long story and has personal info, so we won't get into that)
Anyway, as you may remember from the last post, Moosekey is on the baseball team. Well they are in a tournament right now that they can't miss or else they forfeit. Well Friday night it rained (ALOT) and so their game was postponed to Saturday. Well Saturday morning it rained as well, so they had to wait for it to stop. Once it stopped, then they go to playing - well I was supposed to go down to Courtey91's house to take pictures at 530, but Moosekey had not finished with the game and couldn't leave. They had dinner reservations at Courtey91's favorite restaurant for 630 and had to move them to 700. So I was on my way to Courtey91's house and I get a call from her mom asking me to stop by my mom's to pick up Moosekey's tux and some overnight clothes. So I run over there to pick up the tux and some other stuff (only to forget his toothpaste and toothbrush - OH WELL)

I get there and they tell me that he is still at the game (by this time it's already 640). So they call the restaurant and change the reservations to 715. He finally get's there and jumps in the shower and while he is in the shower, they change the reservations to 745. After about 15 mins of pictures, they are out the door and ready to party.

Moosekey and Courtey91 make the cutest couple and they are soo lucky to have each other and their families!
Here are some pics of that night - I am not in any of them as I was behind the camera....

You can tell that they had just come from the baseball game! LOL
Hope you had a great time Moosekey and Courtey91!! I love you both very much and am soo proud of you!
Hasta!
Adri.
PS... On Sunday Morning while checking Facebook I noticed that Moosekey posted something about one of his classmates. It seems that one of his classmates, Tobi was driving home from the school sponsored afterprom and fell asleep at the wheel causing a fatal car accident. He was an only son and was destined to play for A&M this coming year. If you read my blog please pray for his family and friends - they could really use it!

Mo's wedding!

So this weekend was my sister's bestfriend Mo's wedding. Mo and my sister Elle have been bff's since they were like 8 yrs old! They are super great friends and I was honored to be invited to their wedding. BUT on the same night my dad was doing a partay in honor of Mother's Day... so the hubs went to my dad's partay and I went to the wedding (with a different date - Super Soph) and then I was going to meet up with the hubs right after the wedding.

The wedding was great and I LOVE when the ceremony is personal to the bride and groom. I feel like when the hubs and I got married, our ceremony was really generic and we didn't get a chance to make it ours... que sera, sera! Hopefully one day we can change that with a vow renewal - who knows...

ok back to Mo's wedding. The church is an ollllllllllddd Catholic church in Downtown and so the lighting was horrible and all of my pictures from the ceremony came out really blurry or orange or just plain bad - so I am not posting any of those, but I will go with whatever reception pictures I have. They had their reception at a GREAT location in the "happening part of town" and it was just beautiful. I would have only changed the way they did the cocktail hour because you had to walk through the whole dining room (which was beautiful) to get to another room in the back of the venue to have the cocktails which was a little weird, but all in all, it was delightful!

Let cocktail hour begin:

Walking down the hall into the cocktail area - beautiful arrangements!!

CHEEEESSSSEEE - literally, they had cheese, crackers and a chocolate fountain with fruit. grandpa and my dad - super soph!

grandma and my date

KSchafe and my date... by a beautiful fountain and another arangement...

the cakes.. yes that's a starwars cake... Both cakes looked awesome, though we didn't get to taste any since we left early to go to my dad's partay!

Buffett setup... the placement was a bit strange as it made for a holdup on the line, but all in all it was ok.

My place setting... loved the little touches!

Instead of the hubs (who was suppose to be my date) I had soph hold his place card in his "place" LOL.

My date and I!

waiting for the bride and groom to get to the venue is boring... so we got a little silly with the camera! LOL...
Some people were not so lucky to have VIP seating such as my date and I - and they were seated up stairs... There is our friend kacey at the top right...

My beautiful sister Elle, soo cute!
The bride showing off her surprise cake to her groom!

both tags with thank you note....

The three of us!

another bridesmaid (and a scared party goer on the left)

kacey.. trying to cut in line at the buffett... lol, j/k.

yummy salad and veggies - the chicken was so/so.... and the beef was too pink for my taste, so I didn't get it.

love the red polish (both of us had it on) and our napkin ties that we fashioned as bracelets!

grandma and grandpa in the buffett line
another party goer at our table in this picture, he was thinking "Is it just me or is there something strange about this chicken?" (actually he asked the whole table that out loud... it was HILARIOUS)

my beautiful grandma!
my sister and the bride... beautiful!

a quick pic of the buffett peeps - can you see grandpa alllll the way in the back???

It was a great wedding and we loved every minute of it. We didn't stay too late because we headed over to my dad's for a Mother's Day bbq and so we missed the dancing and the cake tasting, but that's ok.
More home stuff coming along:
Hasta!

LOVE IT!!

Why am I getting so worked up over a new sink? Well that's because it is BEAUTIFUL... it's deep and wide and I can put several glasses, cups, dishes, ahhhhhhhh simply wonderful.

My great friend Lsoliz and her beau David "THE MAN" came over last night to help us remove the old sink and then install the new sink. THE MAN is awesome and he is sooo smart with all this stuff and I am soo happy because the hubs really got in there to learn how to do this and work it out. I tried to get involved, but was more in the way than anything - so Lsoliz and I went to go get dinner while the guys hooked it up!

Here are the befores and afters:

Here is the old sink in all its shallow glory. It looks really dirty in this picture, but it wasnt in real life.. interesting.......
Here is a side view of it. That's our friend THE MAN!

Here are all the tools (and some cleaning supplies) Oh and my little guy Pierre

YAY!!! Old sink out!

Here is Lsoliz showing off her stuff! She is such a ham!
