LOLS.... and LIFE!

LOL - I haven't updated this blog in MONTHS.... sheesh! Seriously... I think I read about 20 different blogs everyday and I get a little worried about those people when they haven't updated in a day or two! I guess if I knew that people were reading my blog, I would probably update a little more often. Sorry you two... I know you have been waiting!!!

Well then here is my two months update - all in one post.

1)I seriously rekindled an old friendship with LSoliz that has become really strong. So strong that I am a MOH in her wedding!

2)I have a neice!!! I have a sister in SanAntonio that had a little baby girl named Sadie Emilia (LOVE the name) and she is just precious. I have not made it out to see her, but I have seen pictures and I am absolutely in love!

3)I have fallen off the weightloss wagon.. what else is new... but I got back on and I am determined to lose some more weight prior to LSoliz wedding on 10/10/10!

4)The hubbs and I have left our church that we were members to for almost 3 yrs and are on the search to find a new church. We have been praying for guidance on where we should be. We knew that our season at the old church was up and that it was time to move, but we didn't know where. We have gone to a few different ones and are eagerly searching. We don't like being without a church home and are finding it quite exciting that we will soon have somewhere to call home.

5)We were going to buy a new car and made the executive decision to keep the green machine alive. The Green Machine is the hubs older (2001) Mitsubishi Galant that needs some work (mechanical and interior), but it's paid off and in order for us to stay in the mind set of debt reduction, we have got to make it with a paid off car!

6)The hubs and I LOVE BINGO! It's just fun to go and hang out - plus they have good food and we can bring our friends and just hang out!

7)I still toying with the idea of opening up a small little shop selling my flower pins?? who knows?

8) MOOSEKEY is going to college!!!! He got accepted to a college in Dallas and will be leaving on Aug 20th. I could not be more proud of my brother and my parents for pushing him to succeed!

9)I am seriously contemplating going back to school - for what I have NO idea.. but I am sooo into it!

10)I am planning yet another partay! Actually 2!!! My little brother's going away (to college) party and then LSoliz's bridal shower!

and with that.. I will elaborate on the ideas for LSoliz's bridal shower.

The theme is modern bride. So my colors are light blue and red! (actually I had asked her what her favorite colors where and she said "light blue and red" and I was like - WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!? and so I went on to vistaprint.com (my go to invite place) and looked for one that I could use. Well guess what? They were running a special on their postcards where I could get 100 for FREEEEEEEEE and I know I won't need 100, but gimme a break.. FREE? I'll take them!

So here is it:

and here are some idea I plan to incorporate:

wrapping the drinks in blue fabric with CUTE hearts and the bride/grooms initials
wrapping the napkins in white fabric with a red flower...

light blue, white and maybe red poms...

Since this will be a brunch.. we will have plenty of this:

(in the right colors of course!) - but we will have lemonade with straweberries (for the red) and then maybe a light blue drink of sorts.. not sure yet?

Plenty of YUMMY food!!!! delicious! :)

Of course there will be maybe one or two games to play.. YES, we are those bridal shower throwers - the kind that like to play games and give REAL gifts to the winner of the game... LOVE IT ALL!!!
