Faz Friday Ramblings!

Well.... this week has been super slow. I mean like draggggiiiiinnnnnggggggg. On top of that, the hubs and I started fixing up his car (which is not 100% yet) and then I just put my car in the shop :( So I am driving around a rental that I picked up last night.. like 5 mins before the rental company was about to close.

Now - We are not hoity toity peeps. We are run of the mill peeps and not at all walking around with our noses in the air. But I believe we got the shaft when I picked up the rental. I mean seriously I was not expecting a Lexus or Mercedes - but really???? It's a really ugly rental that I am really upset about because 1) it's really stinky... like whoever had it last was a 20 pack a dayer 2)Really dirty.. I mean it's carpet is clean (like vacuumed) but the seats are all stained - like really badly 3)There are missing buttons??? What the heck!!!!!!! Who does that... who treats a rental like a piece of crap? I know when I have had a rental I treat it like gold as I know they will nickel and dime you if there is any damage to it! NO BUENO! anyway, I called them this morning and they are gonna hook me up with another car (hopefully) later today.

On another note, since Lola (my car) is getting fixed up and some of it is covered under warranty and some of it isn't, we have to pay for the part that isn't. This is where being a re-beginner (beginner again) of the Dave Ramsey program is no bueno. If we would have put some REAL EFFORT into the Dave Ramsey program back when I first talked about it - we would be miles ahead of the game and this "blip" if you will, wouldn't even affect us! Though since we are re-beginners, we will have to dip into our emergency fund to fix the cars... but without the cars we can not go to work to stick to the DRP (Dave Ramsey Plan).

I can't remember if I have talked about the DRP - but I know it's going to save our lives. Why do I say save our lives? I say this because NO ONE should be in debt. We have learned this the hard way. Meaning that there have been times where we have had to take from Peter to pay Paul and that's not how we should live life. So at the beginning of January we had said that we were going to commit and do the DRP. But things got in the way that well I could totally list out here but I am sure I already did in another post and that would be redundant and excuse filled - so... we are done with that. We have really stuck to the plan the past two months but with dipping into our emergency fund, we will have to stop for a minute and fill it back up - then get back on track.

How are we doing the DRP and not falling apart? Well I actually got a part time job last week that is going to pay me about $50-$60 per shift and I will work Sat and Sun only. I will work Sat mornings and Sun nights. It's only temporary as Dave says "Live like no one else now, so you can live like no one else later"

So there you have it, my Faz Friday Ramblingssss

What is on the agenda this weekend. Well tonight we are staying in and grilling some pork chops and I really wan to clean out my closet and make it more user friendly.. right now it is taking me atleast 20 minutes to figure out what I am going to wear each day! NO bueno.
Tomorrow we will wake up early to take the Green Machine (hubs car) to the mechanic to get worked on and then he is bringing me to my pt job. After work we are suppose to go to a surprise party, but I am not feeling it, so I will stay home and clean while he goes to the party. I think my cousin will come over to hang out too. Sunday we have church in the morning and then I work Sunday night.

I think I will have a before and after of my closet craziness this weekend. Be on the look out.
Hasta!
Adri.
