So like many other bloggers, Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer to them. Or at my hubby's job, it marks the start of blue jean Fridays! lol... We haven't talked much about any trips we want to take (besides a wedding in August to Corpuse Christi and a trip or two to San Antonio to visit with my sister and niece), but we have talked about what plans/goals we have.
1) Spending time blessing others. We LOOOOVVEEE to spend time at home. It's sooo relaxing and seriously we love our house. We love the layout, the space, and simply everything! BUT we can't just be cooped up at home all the time, so we have decided to bless others this summer. The best way that we could bless others is by giving of our time. Yeah we need time for us too (as a couple, as individuals) but we should also share out time. So we plan to do that this summer in some way.
2) Spending time with God. This is something that I struggle with very much. I don't even know why... it's the easiest thing in the world. Just stop what you are doing, put down that phone, turn off that tv and just sit and spend time with Him. Like reading the bible. Seeing what he has in store for us. As well we need to spend time as a couple praying together. We pray by ourselves or sometimes if we are in a bind we pray together, but we don't pray the way a couple should. With earnest thanksgiving for all things He is doing in our lives.
3) Finally get rid of debt. I mean seriously... sheesh! We have not fallen behind on any debt at all (Praise Him) but we have not gotten rid of any! blech! So starting in June, we are gonna get rid of debt.... we have a big debt going bye bye on the 15th - Yeeeehaw!!!! Then we have another debt going away on the 30th. Then next month we will have 2 more debts going away. Then in August... it just keeps going!!!
4) Start working out together... feverishly. We keep saying that we want to do this and blah blah... but we are seriously going to do this now. We need it. It's something that has to be done.
5) Clean out the house. I mean get rid of whatever we do not use and have a garage sale in the middle of July. It's CleanHouseFAZEdition!
Can't wait to see what we do!!! (will check back in on Labor Day)
