So you remember Ike and Tina, right? Their story began with love and ended in disaster. Well there seems to be an Ike on the horizon. No, it's not my hubby - but it is Hurricane IKE. Seriously... the models keep showing that we will get hit... indirectly, but still hit.
The good:
We live pretty far inland - about 100 miles in from the coast
We are pretty prepared in that we have water, canned food, snacks, books, gas in the cars and flashlights with batteries
We have enough room in our house that we could totally have a bunch of family come stay with us if needed. They are totally welcome.
The bad:
There is suppose to be big winds - I'm talking 100mph winds... like woah!
Most of my family lives in the SouthWest part of town. Well they are mostly in the "cone of uncertainty" so that is No Bueno.
We do not have a generator, so if the electricity goes out.. bummer! No A/C - ugh!
In anycase. The Lord will hold us in his hands and we are not fearful of any of the bad. We know that the Lord is here for us and we are ever grateful. Praise Him for He has us in the palm of His hands. Thank you Father that you are ever watching us and keeping us safe. You are all we need and we ask for your covering during this storm. In Jesus Name.
