Le Tuesday...and a review.

Well alright, it's Tuesday!

The view outside my window - it doesn't look like it from this picture, but the view is quite gloomy.

So my week last week was full of hurt/disappointment and really quite frankly I was not myself. One of my good friends (bff) got married last year and this past week her husband told her that he was done and wanted out (divorce). There is more to the story (such as he may have been seeing someone else and that he was treating her horribly) but I am not happy one bit because I knew that something was not right with this relationship. Though in my years I have learned that everyone must find out for themselves that they have rushed into something or made a not so good decision. I know because I have been there, done that and will probably do it again. I feel bad for her because she is really letting this affect her and by doing that, it is totally affecting me. As well, she is acting totally weird and is making me uncomfortable. NO BUENO. I have been praying that she snap out of it and let God do the work of either restoring the marriage or restoring her. (or even doing BOTH!)... Time will tell.

Moving on (because it's all I can do to keep sane!) Let me go into a product review. I know in this blog, I have not been much of a product reviewer or pusher or whatever you want to call it, but last week (before the drama from above happened) I got the Origins VitaZing SPF 15 Moisturizer. I decided to try it just on a whim and based on a raving review from one of the beauty gurus I follow on YouTube - TiffanyD (click on her name and you can see her blog post/video review)

My take on this product is solely my opinion and I have not been paid to give you a review - it's just my opinion. I find that Tiffany has been spot on with other products (Garnier eye rollers, etc) but with this product, I was disappointed. Let me explain. This product is a tinted moisturizer. It is supposed to work with any skin tone and is supposed to give you slight coverage while moisturizing your skin. With this product you get 1.7 oz at $35 but you only use about a pea size amount at each application - so it could last you a good time. The problem for me is that when I think of moisturizer, I think of something that is going to make your skin feel quenched (if that makes sense). I felt that it was too tough to work around and then throughout the day my skin would feel like an oil slick. Which made me believe that my skin was not moisturized enough causing it to overproduce oil throughout the day. I gave this product a chance but was really sad because I wanted this to be a really big win for me as I have never used any kind of liquid foundation/tinted moisturizer type stuff. Also you have to make sure to wash your hands after application because there will be slight color on your fingers from working it in. I think I will take this back to the store and stick to my old moisturizer/MAC Studio Fix routine. Oh well! You win some you lose some. Onward!

On another note, I absolutely am loving Revlon's Top Speed Nail Enamel is THEBOMB.COM!

In this picture (which is kind of dark) I am wearing my newest favorite color - CHILI! It is soo fun and I have gotten quite a few compliments on it already. I know I have worn it before in one of my blog posts, but I really do love it!

That's it for now!

Hasta!
