Anyway, after I saw that bio with the hanging bare frames, I was smitten! I wanted to replicate it, but didn't know where or how I would do it. We already had the furniture from my dad in the guest bedroom (which is HUGE) and it would look dumb. Then in our bedroom it wouldn't go either because we have an IKEA bed that is super low to the ground... hmm what to do?!?!?
I found two bare frames at my mom's house the week before our housewarming party and she came over to help me figure out how to make my dream come true of using bare wooden frames. So this was born:

YUK... after taking this picture (it's our living room) I am definitely taking those shelves OUT and putting up all of our dvd's. Ewww and look at the crapito (sound system stuff) that is all around the place. As well as the dolly! what the heck. I guess it didn't look that bad in person, but in pictures - whoa!! I have a great idea for this un organized schtuff and will implement it tonight (then post about it tomorrow). Anyway.. the point of it is that you can see the bare frame above the tv. I used curtain hold backs (don't remember the real names of it) to hang the frame. Look at the picture below and you will get a better idea of what I mean by curtain hold back.

We have a small wall that between the living room and powder room (living room is on the right and powder room on the left) Anyway. I got the little frame with the F from a nestie (that has fabulous style) during our Christmas Secret Santa. She actually lives really close to me and hand delivered the package (it freaked hubby out because he thought someone was casing this joint!)
So after this wet my appetite for the bare frame addiction that was to come, I decided that I would always be on the look out for lonely frames that needed a home. I started looking through thriftstores and such only to find that I could get the best deals and the most frames from my favorite one. It's not a chain (no Salvation Army or Family Thrift) but it is a gem. I can always find something and they always have this tag for 50% off or this tag for 75% off.. and it's just fun!
So I began my search... and boy was I pleasantly suprised! I got plenty of frames and I bet I only spent about $15 total (if that) to get this:

Aahhhh.. total frame goodness!
Stay tuned for more updates:
Hasta!

Hi--thank you so much for entering my blogiversary giveaway! I'll be announcing the winner tomorrow, and will need your email address to contact you if you win. Please respond via email to this comment, so I know it's you. Thanks, and good luck!
And also--I'm not sure if it's my Nest Bio where you first saw this idea, but I did something very similar above the bed in our guest room! I've had troubles with my Nest bio so I made a google site and that's the best spot to find my pics. Here's the link: http://sites.google.com/site/allthingsgd/
Your frames display looks great!
