(disclaimer: I have requested a new camera from the hubby and have been somewhat assured that this should happen in the near future.. yeah!!!)
So here is our kitchen:
Here it is! This is looking in from the living room. I love how it's small but big at the same time because it's open to the living, it feels bigger. In this picture, you can also see the breakfast nook(in the back)oh and our little baby, Pierre the wonder cat that likes to climb up and sit on top of the cabinets.
When you walk into the kitchen from the living room there is a wall to your left. These are hung up on that wall. I got them at Garden Ridge for $4 (it was bogo so one picture was $7.99)
Ok.. no as you are in the kitchen you look out to the living. Here you can see our black dishwasher, red coffee maker (with fixings), sink full of clean dishes, lamp (that my sister gave me) and a small sign with three tiny vases in front of it.
Here is a close up of the setup where the lamp is at... I took an even closer one so you could see what the sign says:
It says 'Expect Miracles' - not only is a cute sign, but it conceals the cord to the lamp!
Here is our 'cooking side' of the kitchen. You see our black appliances. Toaster (4 slicer), stove, micro as well as our knives, utensil holder and bread box.
Closeup of the utensil holder. I actually scored this at a thrifstore for 99c!
Closeup of breadbox. Got this at an antique shop for $4. Love it! I know what you are thinking... doesn't the bread go IN the box? Why yes it does - but not when you are a two kind of bread family. See below:
You see... on the top picture, there is wheat bread! In this picture, there is white bread. We love bread and we change it up!! LOL..
Onto the Fridge and papertowel holder. As you can see I have quite a few things on the fridge. I am usually a less is more type of gal, but I HAVE to display my recent Grocery receipt as I have recently started couponing and therefore I like to post my recent savings! On this last trip I saved $32.00! woohoo! (I am new to this and I pray that I get into the $50-$60 savings bracket soon!) There are also gc to a spa! and our favorite restaurant on there as well, so we can remember to use them! As well as pics from our friends and family. The papertowel holder is one of my favorite things in the Kitchen!
I love it because it's mounted under the cabinet and takes up little to no space. Plus it's pretty!I got it on ballardsdesign.com.
The kitchen nook. We rarely use this space, but I know that when we go back to school we will definitely use this spot more often (there is a lot of natural light from the windows) The theme in this room is Cafe.
I got these cute signs from a friend of mine that was changing up the look in her house. The shelves were a gift from my cousin (I roughed up the top one with sandpaper, but forgot to finish the other)
Closeup of the shelf decor. I got the cups and the top vase at a thrift store and the bottom white vase from my sister. The coffe on the shelves were left overs from a recent trip and the frames where from a thriftstore. So there you have it our lovely kitchen! I noticed on her blog today that next week's tour will be about the living room.. so I leave you with this teaser.

Hasta!
Adri
